In 1998 Vassiléna Kolarova coined the concept of interartistic as a semiotic structure. The interartistic interference of colours continues to evolve on the palette and in the writings of Butor and Badin. The word becomes an image when it visualises the sound. Butor talks about this in Literature, the ear and the eye: “If we have two superimposed scripts, Latin and Cyrillic, as in Bulgaria, the name alone will form two parallel arrows. We read the letters in pictures, if we don’t understand either language”. Moreover, the Cyrillic letters, whose Bulgarian creators were Saint Cyril and Saint Methodius, call for an intermusical reading. Saint Kliment Ochridski named the Cyrillic alphabet after its author. They are both musical and pictorial signs, hence the interartistic nature of their essence.
